No wonder really, especially if it was a zoo panther. Anyway, the surprise must have meen really something.
But I still would not bet on you in a knife fight against a really angry European Lynx. Not if you aren't god's gift to knife fighting. And the Shadow Cat is supposed to be much tougher than a lynx, with it's natural defence (equal to shimmer 4) and whatnot.
