But doesn't the puny 12^1 cat have to bid full 12 points and hope for the best? At least 10, to get the 10^2 deer to 0AP. Hunting with a pounce is pretty ineffiscient unless you can down the prey in a single attack. At 0 the cat can't yet even make a cupe-de-grace.
