Magic that states "Heal Hurt" (or similar). Basically it removes those annoying -1 penalties. Major Healing heals Injury and Dying, and illness, poison, etc.
Magical healing is not nearly as prevalent as RQ would have you think. Not every warrior has Heal 2 on hand. Also, First aid is more prevalent and just as good as minor magical healing.

See the rules for Enemies and Allies - they progress at the same rate as the heroes, so if you run into Harrek when he is at 10w3 and you're at 5w, there will always be about the same difference between your abilities. When you're at w2, he's at w4, etc. In an attempt to reduce the amount of work the GM has to do tracking the abilities of his NPCs, we just assume that they are getting the same opportunities to advance as the Heroes, and base the Villain's abilities off the Hero's. Every episode that Issaries publishes will have a benchmark (see the notes on NB 11). The benchmark will usually assume that the scenario is tough-but-winnable with luck and a HP or two (some will assume that the scenario is a cakewalk, or unwinnable, and will usually tell you so).
