When he was one of the Sober Heroes, the Orlanthi weaponthane Hengarl found such a trove of silver that he now mints his own coins. Generous with friends yet vindictive towards foes, Hengarl rends his stylish robes when frustrated. He once penetrated the murk of the trollish god realm, and, with specious reasoning, gained knowledge of the Surprising Thunderstrike. His wondrous Butterfly Cloak assumes many shapes, and protects against harsh weather. He knows the thorns and briars of his clan lands, but often dreams of a verdant isle ruled by tall women. His cursed wife, Eleera, makes dyes from lichen.
