Werewolves Was: Zombies and Skeletons in extended contest

We tried something that sort of worked:

We tried the "Mundane weapons do not cause AP losses." The weapon must be *inherrently* magical or a rune metal to function 'normally' with limited success -- the werewolves were just too powerful.

However, since most battles have folks being knocked around and battered, that is in keeping with what happesn to a werewolf who's being bludgeoned with a suddenly not-quite-as-functional sword.

Ignoring the edges provided by the mundane weapons works to some extent but will allow a werewolf to be beaten to a pulp by AP expenditures. It just didn't feel right.

We eventually decided on a very large armour edge (^7) that only works against non-magical weapons AND dropping the edge of these weapons. You can still *try* to beat a Werewolf to death with a sword but its so tough you're literally tearing it appart. And with that level of extertion, you can make mistakes (especially in the finishing blow) and *snap* there goes your throat!

Hope this helps,

Jeff
