Historically, such a bonus has not been the case throughout Gloranthan literature. It has been associated with death and I could make a case for an Iron Dwarf not having much trouble but the problem with Iron in its unrefined form is that it screws up all magic.

Seems unlikely that just being a death rune cultist would get rid of that problem.

And as to enchanted iron not affecting trolls or elves strongly -- would be the point of that? The dwarfs made the material specifically to hurt their enemies and I just can't see them forgetting to let it hurt them when its refined or worked -- you are more likly to see a dwarf with enchanted iron rather than not. And the raw material is equally deadly. Its Bane-metal. Its a little like saying that cyanide is less lethal in caplet form than sloshing around in a beaker...

Enchanting iron, in HW, also a relatively painless process rules-mechanics wise. IT costs a HP between games and/or simply going to someone who can work it.
