I think his tactics seem fair. My suggestions:
- Pit him against opponents with followers
- Pit him against a sham using the same tactics
- Pit him against opponents with hero points
- Pit him against opponents with large defensive edges against spirits
(several feats can do this, as could crystals etc.)
