That's an interesting way of doing it. We have items that just give a
flat edge or bonus as well -- though I mislike giving A PLUS ONE
SWORD PLUS FOUR VERSUS UZ! I get these D&D flashbacks and kill all the
PC's y'see.
But its a good mechanic. I use it for my NPC's and their augments if
I'm in a hurry but don't tell anyone, okay?
