Hi everyone,

I'm quite some time into a Pavic HW campaign, but to date the would-be heroes have faced pretty stock opponents, or ones whose abilities were not particularly lethal.

Next week they fact the big Flaw Enemy of the most powerful PC, and I would like the opinion of more HW combat-experienced GMs as to whether this set of stats is too hot, too cold or just right.

The main PC is a shaman with 5W2 in most shamanic skills, and a couple of notable "items": Manor House W2 (ie, spiritual defenses the Enemy must cross), A family temple at W2, one appropriate magic item at 8W, another at 1W, and one combat tough follower at 17W.

While I'm relatively confident that this character can survive the attack, most of the other characters are MUCH less experienced--best skills are around 17-18, though most have some AP add or fetish protection at around 1W. You can check out all the PCs at http://homepage.mac.com/mdawson/rass.html if you're really keen on it.

Here's the bad guy: The Black Screamer Might 5W2 Talents:
Extinguish Flame 15W
Vomit Terror 1W2, (may be used on as many targets in a round as it succeeds against without multiple attacker penalties--after 1st success it may attack again, but after first failure, it cannot attack further that round.) Steal Soul 17W (Acts as Mystic Strike, in addition to AP loss, if the target is reduced to 0 AP or less, his Magical Skills are reduced to 0.) Flee into Darkness 2W2
Disadvantages: Hate Swans and swan spirits 2W2. It always attacks swans first, to the point of ignoring other, more dangerous targets. Vulnerable to Gold ^-6

The Black Screamer attacks as many enemies as it can each round, and once it has a sense of the power of its opponents chooses likely targets for its Steal Soul ability. It cannot Vomit Terror and Steal Soul in the same turn. If it is ever in danger of being defeated (remaining AP equal to that lost in a previous round,) it uses its Flee into Darkness to escape.

The heroes know about the swan thing and will probably have one or two on hand. They don't know about the gold vulnerability.

Opinions, please?
