I suspect that this may change.

No. One cannot make iterative augmentations. And any narrator is quite within his rights to say 'no, that's too similar to an augement you already have in effect' -- and that is also clearly stated in the rules.

This long endlessly recursive addition of feats is the exact reason for the comment.
And the narrator can always say 'no.'
