Some species of swans are quite incredible migrators. I seem to recall that many swans actually fly so high while migrating that they are almost impossible to see despite their size. I would think there would be swans that'd spend summer in wet spots around the fringes of Pent, but want to head somewhere warmer in the winter....and assuming Gloranthan swans don't like salt water, that doesn't leave many other places to go in the winter other than the Zola Fel and Teshnos.
Besides, I'm sure some lunar bureaucrat would have imported them as an urban improvement project, if they weren't native already :)
