Have a look at Karath Sweetvoice at
http://www.indigost.demon.co.uk/glorantha . Karath is my character in Benedict Adamson's campaign and is an Issaries Devotee and Merchant.

I think that fighting was vastly overemphasised in RQ and HW can handle conflicts that don't need to be resolved by violence.

In the last scenario that Benedict ran, we had to convince some thugs to give up a field that a legal case had proven they had no rights to. A Humakti use their Visage of Fear feat, the Orlanthi threatened violence by Boasting and showing an iron sword, and Karath, my character threatened to sing songs of their cowardice and weakness to all bloodlines of their clan and all clans of the tribe. An RQ traditional melee would have been a bad idea as we were under the watchful eye of Lunars in a nearby fort. And Karath got closer to getting the girl too. In the post scenario chat, we agreed that it would have been difficult to do the same thing in RQ.

regards,
Charles
