I could see the Sword Sages still being in the game but I would point
out that they really _are_ a rarity and mostly found around Pavis.
Not really enough to warrant their own subcult.
That being said, one can always learn close combat and perhaps join a
subcult or hero-cult which provides you with some combat ability. But
sword sages learned the combat arts more as a default to survival in
the rather deadly RQ combat rules. Things are different now, yes?
