I think this is often forgotten in these days of photocopiers, wordprocessors etc, I think there are probably statistics somewhere about how many mistakes get made hand copying manuscripts - words missed, lines missed, lines repeated, paragraphs missed. spelling mistakes etc. Copying grimoires is a tough job.
