Not really. The things on the otherside don't have much in the way of volition. Disciples seem to be a little challenged in the free-will or flexiblity department, if one reads the writeup.

A disciple is VERY likely going to have a 1w2 in Mythology (whomever), appropriate virtues (useful for going on apprppriate quests) and or other useful ablitites as a part of their training and _qualifications_. And Mythology is usually how one crosses the barrier. Being a disciple is not a trival matter, as can be seen from the reqiurements -- you need to know the Secret and a few other skills at a very high level 1w2 or so.

Its not that they are naturally better, its that they ARE better through their "disciple-in"
