My character, Karath, has 5 followers and a relationship with each of 13. Say that Karath is otherwise ready to become a disciple (actually this will _not_ happen for a long long time). How should he build up his relationship with his followers.
The obvious way is to spend the 85 HP (more likely to be 170 HP
because of non-related to adventure doubling) to raise the
relationship with each to 10W. However it is likely that he would
have more followers by the time he was ready to become a disciple
(never mind the probable requirement that he have more followers to
have a chance of convincing the temple to allow him to make the
attempt to become a disciple). Therefore the cost would be even more.
Another possibility is that the character create a band of followers
(either with a summoned wyter or possibly with the character as the
focus of 'worship'). Then the character would then only have to
spend 1 HP per follower to have them join the band (which will still
probably be 20 or more by the time a character reaches this level)
and 19 HP (or thereabouts) to create his own relationship with the
band and raise that relationship to 10W.
Any suggestions, thoughts or rulings?
regards,
Charles
