In all the talk about Close Combat, I'm surprised Ranged Combat
hasn't come up. There's more similarity between Poleax and rapier
techniques than between Sling, Javelin and Bow... You COULD say that
all involve the judgement of distance by eye, but if you're still
judging distances, rather than just aiming by learned 'instinct',
you'll probably miss anyway, and the 'adjustment' of range of the
three techniques is considerably different.
