- Don't know if it's already been asked, or is painfully obvious, but are
Barantaros the Hidden Gale and Barntar the Plowman the same deity? Or
different aspects of the same deity?
- Does anyone but me see a similarity between the Brithini and the Dwarfs?
Both cultures feature castes with no inter-caste mobility; they are
immortal as long as they obey their caste strictures; they practice
sorcery; they are xenophobic; and they worship deities which they cannot
contact in any way. Is there some common origin here, or are these
similarities mere coincidence? (I've asked about this before, yet no one
has ever taken me up on it.) To stimulate discussion, I offer forth these
possibilities:
Theory #1: They're divergent members of the same race.
Theory #2: The Invisible God IS Mostal, and vice versa; neither god is what
its worshippers claim it to be.
Theory #3: Both races have stumbled onto the same principles of
immortality, from different directions.
Theory #4: Those meddlesome God Learners have some more 'splaining to do.
