SARTARITE TRIBAL MAPS Heys folks

down to 450 e-mails in my catch up. Woo hoo!

I've asked Greg and Roderick to make sure we have a Sartar tribal map in Thunder Rebels - let's keep our fingers crossed.

There are no longer copies of the aussie printings of Questlines 1 or 2 available, unless Rex Andrew Bean still has some #2s in storage (I believe Andrew will be at Convulsions). The TOTRM British printing is also advertised as OOP. It looks like Wizards Attic is the way to go.

I am progressively making the Far Place / Sartarite material from Questlines1 available in Pdf (Adobe Acrobat) files, as I have with 'The Finest Music' short story currently available at http://www.glorantha.com . They will be made progressively available at the site over the next month or two. (Comments and feedback on the use of this format for distributing stories and articles would be appreciated. Personally I'm a convert - I can provide formated, colour documents in a universal format that can be easily stored and distributed without being altered. Its less messy and more easily copied than HTML).

The Far Place material by Mikael Raaterova and myself is just about ready. I've written to David Hall about the Sartarite tribal maps and populations article we prepared in consultation with Greg, but as yet have had no reply. The 1610 and 1621 Sartar tribal maps I prepared for that article were based on originals by Walter Moore, and I'm obviously not going to put those in general circulation without getting the permission of all concerned. Those of you going to Convulsions (lucky bastards) may wish to gently prompt Dave on the issue.

In the meantime, if you're desperate for a copy of a 1621 Sartar tribal map, drop me an e-mail.

I believe the population and clans summary posted a few days ago was compiled by Jane Williams after a Gloranthan Digest discussion. It summarises the available sources, and relies heavily on David's tribes article in QL1.

Cheers

John

The heroes filled their drinking cups with wine Sainted with water, which is best, and sipped; And what in them was noble, grew;
And truthfulness, with many meanings, spread Over the slopes and through the leafy spears As Priam thrust the knife into the white lamb's throat.
