You may have missed :

(not to make too fine distinctions)

I like a fairly balanced mix of swashbuckling, wargaming and mythic/heroquesting, usually tied together as Quests. Lots of wargaming and large scale events, balanced by the swashbuckling and Questing. I've tried Intrigue and Politics, but I always overdo it, and it fails. I like to see players coming to grips with changing magic and a changing world. I always try and throw in the odd element of "Farmer" campaigning, for bucolic motifs and campaign grounding more than anything else. I'm very happy with BA, because it will really help me fit my house needs to HW, and the only thing I really need to resume play is a set of decent rules. Roll on HW2 ! (HW2 looking good from this vantage point) I have run a successful Seshnelan campaign using RQ, that was very close to HW in feel. I still dream of  running a short and wacky Martial Arts campaign, full of outrageous MA Techniques, Mystic Strikes and Counters, Inscrutability, Rival Schools, and other MGF fineness.
