Beatpot Aelwrin was converted after a revolt that "ravaged half of Kostaddi" Glorantha: Intro p105. Now there is a known rebellion in Kostaddi circa 1612 which result in Rone razed and Duke Raus being exiled to a distant land (i.e. the Borderlands).

So Beatpot could have been converted within a year or two after that. There could have been another revolt at a later date but like Sartar, I don't think Kostaddi can revolt twice in less than ten years.

He is the head of the Moonsword regiment IIRC and so he has a massive scimitar that he bangs on his pot hat when he salutes (as Trevor A. once showed me at Victoria).

Anybody can eat cooked walktapus, it takes a real hero to cook it.

He hangs around JarEel most of the time.

Yup. Alternatively he could be trying to find some giant walktapus for the Emperor's table.
