In my campaign, the Fire Bull clan of the Sambari tribe lives high in the Storm Hills. The land is rugged an infertile; it is unsuitable for agriculture. Orlanth is, of course, an important god for the clan, and leads the Clan Inner Ring, but Barntar is not held highly, and so has no place on the Ring. There is a little agricultural land, of course, so the carls will want some blessings. I suppose they would call on Orlanth (the Farmer) rather than Barntar.

I guess I'm suggesting that Barntar is the farmers' god for clans with many farmers (valley peace clans). Other clans make do with second best and call on Orlanth's farmer aspect. And Humakt is the war god for typical war clans, but Orlanth the Warrior os the war god of peace clans who find themselves having to fight.
