Yeah, next year at the same time... perhaps ! Greg *owes* us a "Large Map of Dragon Pass Showing the Place Where the Hero Wars Ignite !" As of today it's still written on the website, it's still written on each & every deluxe box that we should have one... 11" x 17" does "What's in this Box" even tells us !
A *detailed* & new map of the whole of Dragon Pass was the one thing from the deluxe set that I was expecting the most, believe me or not. Boy was I disappointed when I opened the box... A good one, for me, could well have been worth the price of admission. But the two we got... By the way, it didn't improve in G:IttHW where a lot of the locations are simply not on the maps !
All of this wouldn't be such a problem if we had some decent maps on the website. It would eventually "trickle down" even to the non-connected owners of HW. But, no, we do not even get some reproductions of the old ones which would be *invaluable* for all the newbies (the maps from KoS, the one from Trollpack, the RQ II map of the Pass, those of the wargames, the one with all the tribes of Sartar in Questlines & Tales, the one from KoDP but *with* the locations for Togtuveisake !!!)
As a Glorantha grognard, I expect to be disappointed by TR & SR! in more ways than one. But that's not such a big deal, as a grognard I live under the motto "survive, adapt, overcome" anyway. The shaman-arkati-trickster won't get me, I'll still be there ten years from now !!! :o) ;o) :o)
But what about the newcomer, what about the customer ?!?
Next week I buy the french edition, at least there is a big colour map of Genertela...
