We can certain hope this is the case. The follower rules from THE DYIN EARTH RPG are rather perverse... the more competent a follower is, the less reliable he or she becomes. HERO WARS is more flexible than this already, but I would like to see it become more so.

I concur, which is the entire rationale behind my "25-word supporting cast write-up" house rule. It makes followers more like PENDRAGON squires... replacable but more fun to detail a little.
