Statistical analyses of Everest deaths seem to show that they are depressingly at the same rate, regardless of prior experience, including prior experience of climbing Everest.

However, if 5W4 is a "deep winter in Dragon Pass," rather than passing through the Rockwoods in winter, that is certainly too difficult.
