And if all you're interested in is running Heortling games, that's
fine. "Yanafal tarnils is a war god worshiped by soldiers, just
like Humakt" is fine in that context. If you're running a game
with Lunar, or even Carmanian characters it's nolonger sufficient
to tell your Lunar officer characters that their god is "A bit
like that barbarian gallows god up in the mountains - here's the
Humakt writeup, it's good enough for you."
I'm not arguing for pedantic detail, only fair treatment of
cultures other than Heortling.
