To quote the section on initiates "When Humakti come, children run screaming, women lock doors, and ordinary farmers look away". That's just for initiates. Obviously YGMV but we had a nice example a couple of weeks ago in our game when the Humakti drank the other warriors under the table in a drinking contest, one of the clan women came upon the scene and immediately assumed he had killed the motionless men lying at his feet.
