This is a simple question with many (complex?) answers from
mythology. Yelm (or one of his successors, Antirius?) is the sun for
the Darra Happans and their neighbours. IMO not all inhabitants of
the Lunar empire accept Yelm as the sun. And behind the scenes, at
some deep level Elmal, Yelmalio, Ehilm, Somash etc. are (parts of)
Yelm. I seem to remember that there is a Q&A on the issaries site
about this. Its the same as Dobdurban being the god of the wind for
the Lunar empire (or at least some parts of it).
