I get the distinct impression that Elmali from Julian's neck of the woods do the latter. And I think that's probably all that needs to be said about how HGMV.
I'm not sure many Elmali (or Heortlings) would do the former. Like I said before, Heortlings don't seem to particularly associate the Sun with Fiery Powers.
Yes, Elmal was of the Fire Tribe: so too are Ourania, Yelorna, Polaris, Dayzatar, Buserian, arguably Sedenya... none of them renowned for their Napalm affinities.
