This group is for discussing the world of Glorantha rather than the hero wars rules. However I'm sure nobody will mind making an exception just this once :)

Many people have different ideas about how to do ranged combat in Hero Wars. One easy way is to run a ranged attack as a simple contest. Look up the result on the Simple Contest Results table, and then apply the consequences to the target from the Combat Results table. However this is very harsh on the target, especialy if he is heavily armoured. You might want to reduce the severity of the wounds caused.

The Hero Wars FAQ on the www.glorantha.com site has advice on ranged combat.
