Whatever works for your campaign I guess. Since Whitewall's Fall isn't actually described, you can use it either way. If you decide that the bat was repelled in 1619 and are confronted with further references that the bat was repelled in 1621, an answer might be that the Lunars deliberately postdated the repulsion of the bat to the fall of whitewall rather than the initial siege to lessen the embarrassment involved.
