No problem there. It's just my preference. Btw. there have been effective horse "barbarians" without stirrups as far as I know.

It's actually sort of nice, that the Glorantha material is flexible enough that it can be read either way. But I like the imagery of the early iron age, and it seems in line with the RQ-2 era logic. The common man wears leather and bronze, only heroes get iron.
