Lots of Gloranthan demons are not chaotic however, so regardless of your point about the soul-eating, I don't see the relevance of the above comment. A 'demon' is simply an Otherworld being native to Hell, such as jukhars (AR p.239), ghouls or Umbarong* (NB p.18), many of which are far from being chaotic. This why Chaos Creatures and Demons are in separate chapters of Anaxial's Roster - while some demons surely are chaotic, most are not.
