In Anaxial's view, this definition of demons is correct: "beings from hell"="beings from the Underworld". Wasn't Anaxial a Dara Happan?

But Demon is anything that comes from your (subjective) hell: so heortling demons (demons in the POV of a heortling) are usually chaos beings. Lunar demons (demons in the POV of a Lunar) are Wind Daimons or Darkness spirits.
Uz demons are fire entities (definitely not from the underworld).

Also, since most people doesn't know much about an otherworld entity origin, a heortling meeting an essence would probably call it a "demon".
