That isn't necessarily a completely correct suggestion, nor does it necessarily mean they are chaotic.
Possibly, they shrive their fodder of all theistic souls and animist spirits, leaving their Divine Essences intact, and therefore save the "victims" from eternal damnation and Hell, only destroying those who have entirely forsaken all true Divine nature (such as shamans and devotees) and have no essence left in them ?
