When I last looked at the draft for Kerofinela, Land of Thunder Apple lane was still a hamlet sitting aside a secondary road and had a temple to Uleria.

Yes, it is a bit odd, but then so are Skyfall Lake, ducks, the syphon river, the cinder pits, Tink etc. Glorantha would not be Glorantha without this element of 'odd fantasy' and it is there as much as it always was.

Sure they do not get a mention in Thunder Rebels or Storm Tribe, but that book is supposed to be the norm not the exception, much as Barbarian Adventures is every day live and Orlanth is Dead is great events. No one knows what unusual is without the normal.

As for explanations. Remember that anything that is strange, unique,or different is an opportunity for adventure. You do not have to know why if even the locals do not, it 'just is'. But if the players persist in their explorations, or it intrigues you - investigate. The things that are out of the ordinary are the hooks around which you build your episodes. Why is there an Uleria temple there, and what is its role in the Hero Wars? Uncovering that is an an opportunity for adventure.
