I seem to remember an article about Boggles that mentioned in passing that they had startled Mother Mammal into giving birth to "that utterly preposterous creature known as the camel". Can't now remember where it was: probably *very* ancient.
But I can't think of any other mention of them. I'm not familiar with the southern continent, though: are they down there?

Because Glorantha is a serious, properly designed universe that doesn't have obviously silly creatures in it? Yeah, right...
Maybe they all died out in the Darkness?
