	Some parts of the comic Lucifer as well, particularly the 

first mini-series. If you can track down a 3 issue mini-series from a couple of years ago called Muktuk Wolfsbreath: Hard Boiled Shaman, that is terrific.

        Steven Brusts Vlad Taltos books drift into HeroQuest territory, too - particularly Jhereg and the most recent one, Issola.
