C.S. Lewis's "Till We Have Faces" gets very heroquesty, I think. (It's a
retelling of the story of Cupid & Psyche, with the Christian implications
played up--and Psyche had all those strange otherworld-quests, culminating
in a trip to the land of the dead.)
Anyone else read it?
