I for the most part personally felt the appearance of the Red moon is a result of wound inflicted upon the earth, hence the gastly "Blood" colour. I thought the shadow was the demonic force of the Goddess imprisoning and controlling the earth magic. She is nothing more than a parasite, using second hand magic she has stolen from the earth.

Though I REALLY LOVE Mikko's idea.

Brilliant. I sell these things, and I really like the idea! Very unnatural, very chaotic, very lunar... explains why too look inside the crater causes madness.

Inspired.
