Visit AoD's main website now for an exclusive sneak peek and background information into the hottest storyline event since the Masquerade Ball. 'Murder at Midnight' has already received critical acclaim from numerous RPG organizations. RPG Weekly has called it "scintillating, action-packed, and the best potential since the Masquerade Ball." League of RPG has praised, "it has the makings of a true AoD classic; Vincent, Tanis, and Raven are the most perfect trio in a very long time." While RPG Writers Club raved, "if everything holds true, Raven may go down in history as the most famous newcomer in AoD history." While later commenting on an exclusive critics preview of the AoD Extra, "this story has everything, compassion, hatred, greed, inner conflicts, the list goes on; it's a writers dream!" And that's just the beginning! Advocates of Darkness praises Vincent Bloodrose, Raven, and Tanis Blackheart for the beginnings of the single most hottest story in AoD history. Never in AoD history has a story became such a hit before its even really gotten underway.

'Murder at Midnight' accelerates AoD ratings!

Before even getting officially underway, 'Murder at Midnight' sky rocketed AoD to its highest ratings since September of last year. It has already increased nearly 30% over the highly advertised 'World Fair' event in December and January. 'Murder at Midnight' has received the most critical praise since 'Fatal Farewell' during the summer season of 2001 when Evil Guerrand and Crysania Wyntir found their way through death itself. As a single event its the most praise since the Masquerade Ball. And analysts predict 'Murder at Midnight' is on pace to possibly break that record. "The highest rated period oddly enough still is held by the infamous murder mystery of the winter of 2001-2002, but 'Murder at Midnight' has the potential to top that," explains Justin Eppley. The #1 rated event remains the Masquerade Ball in April 2001. That event is followed by 'Mystical Maze' in July 2001. #3 is the 'Destruction of Demijoure'. However, 'Murder at Midnight' has already been predicted to reach at least that #3 level. "It remains to be seen," cautions Justin over the immense critical acclaim. "We have seen stories before begin strong and fizzle out later," adds Justin. He may be referring to the highly touted 'Elysium Dreams' story arc last summer that was a bomb for Advocates of Darkness. AoD spent most of its summer advertising the story, a strong reason for last summer's tanking in ratings. "We have had some great stories and events, but we still haven't had a respectable ratings period since the Darius Blackhood murder mystery," implores Justin. However, with the 2nd largest advertising campaign in AoD history, he is optimistic for 'Murder at Midnight'. "It's got great, respectable writers behind the characters, and its even better that the characters have already gained fan bases, unlike past stories that tanked," explains Justin. He is probably referring to Tanis Blackheart. Tanis is not new to the RPG community. His entrance into AoD was highly publicized throughout the RPG community for he was the famous leader of the Darklands in the previous role playing community of Lucrearia. Some fans from that organization migrated to AoD to follow the character's story.
