No one is suggesting that you shouldn't have interesting discussions here. All you're being asked to do is make sure they're interesting to the list's intended core audience. If the moderators decide your discussion isn't, just move it on without the complaints. It isn't like there isn't somewhere else perfectly good to take the threads.
