They have to be the RIGHT set of reeds. Papyrus reeds were in such supply in 1st century BC that Egypt forbid their export.

Wily Greek and Roman entrepeneurs promply began growing their own. I am sure that someone down on the Grantlands along the River of Cradles might be interested in this too.

Or the poor lame buggers who got stuck with Duck Point as their bit of Sartarite carpetbagging.
