Whatever makes sense for you and your players. "Wapentake" might be another useful word.
But I'd advise against trying to take all your vocabulary from one RW source. It leads you towards the trap of thinking that the Orlanthi are "just like Icelanders". And it's only a few steps further to "the Orlanthi ARE Icelanders", and then "the Icelanders didn't have X, therefore the Orlanthi can't have X". And reading RW history for proof rather than for inspiration.
The Orlanthi aren't Icelanders, or Anglo-Saxons, or Celts, or even a mixture of them. They're Orlanthi. And RW parallels are all too easy a trap to fall into.
