had a look at the LoA site - v.nice.

However the Fyrd & Phalanx rules didn't really appeal to me. Too much low-level stuff going on for a "real" battle feel IMO. But of course I'm a DBx* person so I'm probably coming at it from a different PoV from you.

Anyway on to my real point. Ever since reading HW I've thought that the flexible, narrative-driven, scale-independent mechanics could be really cool campaign system for a GM'd miniatures campaign. This would allow you to cut out all the bean-counting that normally goes on as part of them and yet still have a framework to support the story/battles. Have you had any thoughts about this sort of thing and how it might work?

*A family of wargames rules published by WRG in the UK that are loathed or loved in approx equal quantities as far as I can tell.
