stories trolls have eaten stuff like that and used their own powers to
influence what happens to them. Of course if they do it wrong.....
But you'd have to overcome the power of the spirit which in this case is a God, so you'd want to have one hell of a score in Spirit Combat.
It doesn't sound like the sort of thing that your run-of-the-mill Dark Troll would be likely to succeed in.
