I think there may be some talking at cross-purposes here. There certainly isn't any attempt to say that it should be assumed that everyone has access to all independent Gloranthan publishers' materials. What Simon was responding to was the suggestion that it should be automatically assumed that they do *not* buy or read *any* such material.

The bottom line is that everyone is free to pick and choose what does and does not interest them. If, for example, someone says 'does anyone know whether Furthest has a gladiatorian arena?' it hardly seems inappropriate to me to reply, 'well, according the the description in Tarsh in Flames, one is being built' even if TiF is not an Issaries publication. You can ignore the response, but there is no point in pretending that TiF hasn't been written, or feeling that one can't do more than just mention that information is out there, without talking about what it is!

All that said, I don't see this as a problem and I have yet to come across anyone finding reference to non-II materials on any list problematic.
