So what do people think -- when you call on the gods (and, to a lesser degree, saints and spirits) for general aid (as opposed to using their powers directly through feats, affinities, spells, etc), how often is that aid obviously magical and how often natural but fortuitous? So when you pray to Urox for aid against chaos, does a chaos hunting band suddenly appear or does it wander into the area a couple of days later (maybe by "luck," maybe because of dreams or other omens)? When the Heler-less clan prays to the Storm Tribe for a good rain, does it boil up out of nowhere or does a good batch of clouds "happen" to show up? Obviously, in this last case, those who have eyes to see will spot the storm and rain daimones in the clouds but will they be behaving any differently from "normal" rain clouds? Your average initiate might well see the priest or godi perform a sacrifice to Elmal, report that it was accepted, and not really notice anything different except that it remains sunny for the week when the fields are being harvested. And so on.
