I'm sure Heortlings don't spend the whole time indoors, there'll be plenty to do round the stead but I don't think most will venture far. By the time you've shifted enough snow to get to the barn, fed the livestock, milked the cows, chopped some firewood and done the repairs which can't wait till spring you'll be glad to get back inside and get warm again. Hunters and fishers are probably the exception but the farmers will be happy enough making and ornamenting things indoors.
