More mythical ideas engendered by the recent discussions of draconic power. I hope that they are of general enough interest to avoid banishment to the Digest. I worked these out in the process of trying to set up ways to get Dragonewt PCs.

The Cosmic Dragon dismembered Ouroboros' enemy Orxili and cast his 6 limbs into the void. Out of the cosmic came the 6 ancestral dragons (Silence, Secrets, Being, Experience, Thought, Spirit), 6 mighty powers to fight the 6 limbs of Orxili which came back to disturb Ouroboros.

So the Ancestral Dragon Rune has 6 lines to represent the 6 powers.

So too has the True Dragon Rune, but its body is straigtened out to signify that it is at a further remove from sublime one-ness than the Ancestral or the Cosmic Dragons.

The Dream Dragon has no eyes because it does not have true dragon being. It is represented by only six lines, the sinewy curve that represents Draconic attachment to infinity having dropped off. The Dream Dragon, as mighty as it might be in corporeal world is severed from the true mystical power present in higher modes of dragon being.

Contemplation of these images allows one to perceive the foolishness of those who follow the Path of Immanent Mastery. They idolize but 1 of the 6 draconic powers -- Draconic Being. Even the full 6 powers are but facets of Ouroboros' infinity.

This is all by way of exploring the possibility of creating Dragonewt
PCs.
